Physician Assistant Department Hosts Forum on Healthcare Quality and Research
December 19, 2013
On November 7, The Drexel University Physician Assistant Department hosted a forum for the Agency for Healthcare Quality and Research (AHRQ). This inter-professional forum was part of the AHRQ study, Evaluation of the Knowledge and Educational Needs of Students of the Health Professions on Patient Centered Outcomes Research. During the AHRQ forum, 30 physicians, physician assistants, physician assistant students, nurse practitioners, and faculty from both the Drexel College of Nursing and Health Professions and the University of Pennsylvania participated in conversations about educational needs to improve the use of patient-centered outcomes research. The results of this forum will determine the best ways to reach primary care health professions students through curriculum and training opportunities, and will inform AHRQ’s strategic planning for future educational activities targeting clinicians in training.
