As healthcare options grow more advanced, and as more people are seeking care due to the recent passage of the Affordable Care Act, nurses who have at least a bachelor’s degree are more likely to secure a job than candidates who have only an RN, according to new data from The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).  

The future looks bright for nurses, especially those prepared by the Drexel College of Nursing and Health Professions, which offers degrees to nurses starting at the bachelor level and puts nursing students ahead of the curve and ready for job placement come graduation. According to the National Survey of Deans and Directors, “Nursing schools found that 59% of new BSN graduates had job offers at the time of graduation, which is substationally higher than the national average across all professions (29.3%).” 

The AACN also reports that nurses who graduate with a baccalaureate degree are linked to better patient outcomes. Furthermore, according to the AACN data, 78.6% of employers seek students with at least a baccalaureate degree in nursing. CNHP nursing students will all graduate with at least a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN), and will be well positioned in the competitive market when it comes to searching for nursing positions.
