Alumni Update: Where are they now?

John A. Kristel, MPT ‘97, President and CEO of the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania, has been appointed Chair of the Good Shepherd Penn Partners Board of Directors. Prior to Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Networks, Mr. Kristel was CEO of the Carlisle Regional Medical Center in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He also served as CEO of the Berwick Hospital Center in Berwick, Pennsylvania, and as Associate Chief Executive Officer of the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Mr. Kristel also previously served in several roles within the Tenet Health System in Philadelphia, including as CEO of the Graduate Hospital, Director of Operations, Director of Rehabilitation and the Medicine Clinic and as Manager of Physical Therapy, all at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Paul Martin, MPT ‘88, founder and President of Martin Healthcare Advisors (MHA), co-wrote the book, The Ultimate Success Guide: The World's Leading Experts Reveal Their Secrets for Success in Business and in Life. The self-help book features secrets and strategies that leaders have employed to achieve success. Mr. Martin is a nationally recognized expert on the development, management and eventual exit strategies for healthcare services businesses in the middle market. Mr. Martin will be recognized by The National Academy of Best-Selling Authors, an organization that honors authors from many of the leading independent best-seller lists.

Rona Cordish Satten, MCAT ‘77, is exhibiting her artwork at Bryn Mawr Hospital until September 2013 as part of the Main Line Art Center’s “Exhibitions in the Community Program,” which places the work of accomplished artists in libraries, hospitals, and other community settings. Ms. Cordish Satten studied to become an artist at the Barnes Foundation and continues to create at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Her etchings are widely exhibited and are found in public collections including Le Salle Bank and the AtlantiCare Medical Center, and in numerous private collections. She is represented by Gravers Lane Gallery in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania.
