The College of Nursing and Health Professions is happy to recognize Nancy Gerber, PhD, Director, PhD Program in Creative Arts Therapies, of the department of Creative Arts Therapies for her recent achievement from the American Art Therapy Association’s Honors Committee as recipient of the Distinguished Educator Award for 2011. This is the first time that this distinction has been awarded and as first-ever recipient, Gerber is well-deserving.

The AATA awards Gerber this honor for her impressive dedication to excellence and by her many contributions that have both promoted and advanced art therapy education.
