We seek to maximize opportunities for learning through the effective, efficient, and cooperative utilization of electronic learning technologies regardless of time and distance. The goal of electronic learning is to complement and enhance the state’s existing higher education resources and to serve at the pleasure of our students, faculty, and staff.
Blackboard Learning SystemTM is the web-based course management system used by the College of Nursing and Health Professions. Blackboard allows faculty to deliver entire courses online or to supplement traditional on-campus classes with online content. Blackboard enables instructors to provide students with course-related materials, assignments, discussion boards, live classroom, online quizzes, communication features provided by your instructor, and more.
The degree to which Blackboard is used in a course varies. For example, instructors may supplement an on-campus class by putting their syllabus and handouts in their courses. In contrast, other courses may be conducted entirely through Blackboard, without any on-campus sessions. If you are enrolled in a course that uses Blackboard, be sure to find out how Blackboard will be used in that course.

Center for Interdisciplinary Clinical Simulation and Practice
The Center for Interdisciplinary Clinical Simulation and Practice (CICSP) is dedicated to the clinical skills training of the College of Nursing and Health Professions. The CICSP lab includes a physical therapy exercise and modalities lab, three large rooms with 8 to 10 beds in a hospital-like setting, five three-bed health assessment rooms, three bays with two beds each, a computer lab, and a computer classroom.
Located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the New College Building, the CICSP helps to facilitate learning by providing the faculty and students with the setting, models, equipment, and supplies necessary for the acquisition of clinical skills.
Our mission in the CICSP is in keeping with the mission of Drexel University and the College of Nursing and Health Professions. “To serve our students and society through comprehensive integrated academic offerings enhanced by technology, co-operative education, and clinical practice in an urban setting, with global outreach embracing research, scholarly activities, and community initiatives.”
The purpose of the CICSP is to offer the students a fully equipped, state-of-the-art environment that promotes clinical practice in a professional setting and fosters learning. Once the skills have been mastered, the students can demonstrate and be evaluated by the faculty of the College of Nursing and Health Professions.
