Scholarships for MSI in Library and Information Science Students

Through the generosity of multiple scholarship donors, the College of Computing & Informatics (CCI) at Drexel University is offering merit-based and need-based scholarships for new incoming students who enroll in the Master of Science in Information (MSI) with a major in Library and Information Science (LIS) for the Fall 2024 or Winter 2025 term. The scholarships will enable candidates to complete their degree, full-time, part-time, online, or face-to-face, while also giving them the ALA-accredited degree credentials they need for career growth, by providing funding to be used over the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarship recipients will receive an award up to $8,000, to be used over the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Scholarships will not carry over to the next academic year and cannot exceed the cost of attendance.
  • Awardees are only eligible to receive one scholarship for an award up to $8,000.
  • To be considered for a need-based scholarship, applicants must submit a FAFSA. Instructions on how to file the FAFSA can be found the "How to File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)" webpage.
  • Applicants may apply to study full-time, part-time, online, or on-campus for Fall 2024 (September start) or Winter 2025 (January start). Scholarship awards do not reflect any preference towards a particular mode of study.
