I chose this major because... I chose this major after switching from computer science. To me, learning the process of developing a good software product and how to best organize the teams that deliver that product are more interesting than advanced computing theory. Computer Science is a great major, but Software Engineering aligned more with my interests and goals.

Favorite thing/place at Drexel: If you go to Drexel and don't go to the Rush Garden at least once, you're missing out! Otherwise, the CCI building is super nice to study in, along with the Korman Center.

When I'm not at Drexel, I'm... spending time exploring the city! There are hundreds of incredible places to explore and things to do.

When you are in Philadelphia, I think you should... Go to the Franklin Fountain! It is an amazing ice cream place at Penn's Landing where they serve you your ice cream in little take out boxes!

Advice to new/incoming CCI students: Make sure to read every syllabus you get, some professors will do unique things with how they grade their courses like dropping the lowest scored quiz, allowing you to miss a certain number of classes, or even completely different grading scales than usual! Additionally, make sure to go to office hours or one of the school's resource centers if you are struggling in a course, the CLC and Math Resource Center have saved me multiple times! Lastly, make sure to have something outside of classes or co-op to spend time on every week, whether that is one of Drexel's many student organizations or just a great group of friends!

What is your dream job? My dream job is to work as a software engineering manager. I really like to work with people and lead teams to success so combining that with my love of computers and programming sounds like the ideal job!
