Hualou Liang Receives FDA Grant Extension for His Machine Language Learning Based Research on Heterogeneous Treatment Effect Models August 28, 2024 Hualou Liang, PhD, professor, School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, received an Food and Drug Administration (FDA) grant extension for his project titled, “Machine-Learning-based Heterogeneous Treatment Effect Models for Informing Product-Specific Guidance Development,” which was highlighted in the FDA’s most recent Generic Drug User Fee Amendments (GDUFA) Science and Research Report. The report also highlighted Dr. Liang’s research project titled, “Large Language Models to Support BE Evaluation.”
