Hasan Ayaz and Colleagues Receive Wellcome LEAP Grant for Addiction Research August 19, 2024 Hasan Ayaz, PhD, associate professor, School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, and colleagues from the University of Pennsylvania and West Chester University received a Wellcome LEAP grant that is focused on addiction research. Wellcome Leap builds bold, unconventional programs and funds them at scale. These are programs that aim to deliver breakthroughs in human health over 5 – 10 years and demonstrate seemingly impossible results on seemingly impossible timelines. Wellcome Leap is a global Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).
