BIOMED Hosts the 49th Northeast Bioengineering Conference (NEBEC 2023)

NEBEC 2023 bookletsThe School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems successfully hosted the 49th Northeast Bioengineering Conference (NEBEC 2023), which took place on the main campus of Drexel University, from March 30 through April 1, 2023. More than 450 participants attended the in-person three-day conference, with additional participants attending virtually, and consisted of keynote and faculty speakers, research and poster presentations, and a young scientist presentation session.

Attendees had opportunities to network and learn more about other biomedical engineering departments in the Northeast. A highlight of NEBEC 2023 was the Senior Design poster competition, allowing senior students to compete against their peers from other universities, along with the addition of a new bioengineering focused career fair. The School also previously hosted NEBEC 2018.
