Anneclaire De Roos, PhD, MPH
Anneclaire De Roos, PhD, MPH, is an environmental epidemiologist with extensive experience studying chemical exposures as risk factors for cancer and other chronic diseases. Exposure settings of interest include the workplace (pesticides, solvents) and residential communities (industrial pollution, drinking water contamination). More recent projects focus on health in cities, including climate-related risks and potential benefits of trees and other vegetation.
Dr. De Roos is a professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at Drexel Dornsife School of Public Health.. At Drexel, Dr. De Roos teaches courses in epidemiology and risk assessment.
Dr. De Roos has also served on several expert committees in recent years, including those reviewing pesticides for the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) monograph series, formaldehyde for the NIEHS Report on Carcinogens, and trichloroethylene (TCE) health risk assessments for the EPA and National Academies.
