Amy Auchincloss, PhD, MPH

Associate Professor

Amy Auchincloss, PhD, MPH, is a social and environmental epidemiologist. Her research focuses on methods development and social and environmental determinants of chronic health conditions. Her on-going work examines risk factors within residential environments that influence health behaviors related to obesity and type 2 diabetes. Recent work has been focused on studying policies that affect restaurant environments and diet as well as studying new pedestrian/bicycle infrastructure and physical activity outcomes. She has used spatial/GIS methods as well as simulation tools from complex systems modeling in order to examine these topics. She has also studied air pollution epidemiology.

Dr. Auchincloss is an associate professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Drexel's Dornsife School of Public Health.
