Student Success Services
Under the guidance and direction of Rebecca Weidensaul, PhD, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management & Student Success, these services have been developed with the intention of creating an integrated community of support that increases students’ ease of access to these valuable services by eliminating unnecessary barriers and, ultimately, providing more avenues to student success.
The result of this extensive work has resulted in the development of designated destinations operating within a collaborative network that allows students to easily find and navigate between the support resources they need to ensure continued academic growth.
Some of Drexel’s student success resources
Located in the Korman Center, the Academic Resource Center (ARC) provides tutoring, academic coaching, workshops, specialized courses, dedicated study space, and more in one centralized on-campus destination.
- Center for Learning and Academic Success Services (CLASS): An integral part of the ARC, the Center for Learning and Academic Success Services (CLASS) connects students with peers and professional staff through coaching, tutoring, and a wide variety of services that foster academic success and personal growth.
- STEM Support and Student Success Services: Home of the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LS-AMP) and the Bridge to the Doctorate Graduate Fellowship (BTD), this department works to provide new pathways and opportunities for underrepresented minority students within Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
The Office of Inter-College Advising is responsible for leading university-wide academic advising initiatives to develop strategies that enhance the student academic experience and help students fulfill their educational goals. In addition, the Inter-College Advising team seeks to collaborate across academic units to help create a positive collective impact on the recruitment and retention of Drexel students. The Office serves as a conduit of information between EMSS and the academic advising offices to ensure new processes and practices are developed and implemented smoothly.
