Join us Friday November 3rd for a full day symposium focused on the latest in realtime graphics and interaction technologies with applications in iterative design, geospatial visualization, volumetric capture, virtual production and more.

Hosted by Drexel University and sponsored by Epic Games, this event is crafted for an audience of faculty and researchers from throughout the Philadelphia region, this symposium will feature planar presentations and discussions as well as an afternoon of small group breakout sessions affording attendees the opportunity to get up-close and hands-on with advanced technologies including LED Wall Virtual Production and volumetric capture in addition to a host of software solutions that enable real-time, digital design methodologies, collaborative interaction and visualization.

Nick Jushchyshyn is the founding Program Director of Drexel University’s Bachelor’s Degree Program in Digital Media & Virtual Production. His experience includes over two decades of professional experience in computer graphics, including visual effects, immersive media, and virtual production. He holds an MFA from the Academy of Art University and his research focuses on the development and application of production pipelines for Virtual Production, VR/AR and other immersive media formats in areas including education, cultural heritage, medicine and narrative experiences.

Diana Diriwaechter

Diana is an artist, educator and CG specialist with over 25 years of industry experience. With a diverse skill set, Diana has worked in the animation landscape in a wide variety of domains including post-production, medical simulation and animated feature films. Diana worked at Blue Sky Studios for over 18 years. She is also an educator, instructing students at NYU and SVA with a pedagogical focus on the intersection of CG and storytelling. She is currently the Education Lead at Epic Games, helping post-secondary institutions, educators and students adopt Unreal Engine pipelines as powerful yet accessible tools for creativity and innovation.

Sam Deiter

Sam Deiter is an Unreal Engine Instructor with over 18 years of Video Game production experience. Before joining Epic Sam worked as a Senior Technical Artist helping different studios from around the world bring their Unreal Engine-powered projects to different platforms and markets. Prior to joining Epic's Enterprise Instructor team, Sam worked at Epic as a Senior Technical Writer, helping to craft, update, and maintain the Virtual Reality, Mobile, Materials, and Rendering sections of the official Unreal Engine 4 documentation.

Colin Smith

Colin is a Senior Product Manager for Twinmotion on the Enterprise team at Epic Games, where he has been tasked with expanding the product beyond the AEC space to align with industries such as transportation, manufacturing, and media & entertainment. With 33 years of experience in the software industry, Colin is a seasoned Product Manager who has spent 29 years dedicated to 3D computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided surfacing (CAS) for the industrial and transportation design markets. Throughout his career, Colin has managed various products across different industries and customers, including Alias StudioTools, Autodesk Alias, Fusion 360, and Sketchbook Pro.
