Drexel University is pleased to announce a 2023 project by Rami George, the next phase of the P(h)ew Microgrant in which George awarded a portion of their Pew Fellowship to queer and trans artists, writers, performers and musicians in the Philadelphia region. In the Pearlstein gallery, this cohort of 12 artists are offered a one-month residency, unfolding with a series of public events and culminating in a display of the work in May 2023. This engaged group of emerging QTBIPOC artists (queer and trans artists of color) work across visual art, writing, sound/music, performance, publishing, archiving, community engagement, and fashion.
