College of Law Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The official opening of Drexel University’s College of Law
On Monday, April 9, 2007 Drexel University’s College of Law officially opened its doors to its students and the community. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held in the new College of Law building located at 3320 Market Streets. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel J. Alito, U.S. Senator Arlen Specter and Philadelphia City Councilwoman Jannie L. Blackwell were among the federal and local officials attending the ceremony. President Constantine Papadakis and Founder of College of Law Dean Roger Dennis provided the opening remarks. Numerous local judges, attorneys, city council members, law students and administrators were present. Drexel University’s College of Law joins five other law schools in the area, but differentiates itself by being the first and only college to offer a six-month co-op program.
