Peer leadership is one of the pillars of the CIES community. We know there is power in learning from the experiences of peers who have been there, made mistakes, learned from them and continue thriving at Drexel as they also put themselves out there opening doors and enriching the community. Ascent is an opportunity for first-year, second-year and transfer students (Mentees) to receive additional guidance, support and affirmation from upper-class peers (Mentors) while learning how to navigate Drexel. The CIES community strives to promote a culture of inclusion, belonging, growth mindset, and welcomes students from any background. In Ascent, mentors and mentees will be intentionally paired based on mutual identities, academic and career interests and other preferences that you will share during the sign-up process.
