Requirements

To be considered for DragonsTeach DEN, you must:

• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Scholarships are available for undergraduate STEM majors (pre-juniors and above)
• Understand that the scholarship/stipend reverts to a student loan if you do not complete certification and teach for the required time

Application

There is a rolling application deadline through June 1.

You must submit:

• Two letters of recommendation emailed to Jessica Ward at jward@drexel.edu with the applicant name in the subject line of the email.
  • One letter of recommendation from a faculty member in your major department that addresses the following:
    • How long they have known you
    • Evaluation of your abilities as an STEM student
  • One additional letter of recommendation from a DragonsTeach Mentor Teacher

Upload the following materials as a pdf as part of your application:

• A copy of your resume
• Complete the following essay:
  • Essay Topic: Please describe how you think your experiences in STEM education will contribute to your success as a high school STEM teacher (500 word max).
