It is a great pleasure to host this year's HHMI IE3 LCC5 meeting at Drexel University July 24th - July 26th! Be on the lookout in coming weeks for further information regarding the agenda of the conference and any other pertinent information. For now, we hope the information below helps as you're planning to be in Philadelphia for the conference. Agenda for the conference: Drexel Convening Agenda July 2024
Conference Location
3401 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA
The majority of the conference will take place in the ExCITe Center, located at 3401 Market Street. You will need to enter the building on the south side of the building (off Market Street). You will check in with the security guard, and walk up a short half-flight of steps. This will lead you into a lobby area, and if you make an immediate left you will see the ExCITe Center.

How to get from The Study hotel to the conference
Make a left out of The Study hotel (on to 33rd street), walk one block North (towards Market Street), make a left on Market Street, once you cross 34th street you can cross Market Street and 3401 Market Street will be in front of you. Be sure to enter 3401 Market Street from the Market Street entrance.
Guest Internet at Drexel
Free internet is available on campus at Drexel through the “DrexelGuest” wireless network
To access Drexel Guest login: Open a browser and attempt to access a web site, you should be directed to the Drexel Guest login page. If you are not automatically redirected, please browse to http://drexelguest.drexel.edu. Follow the instructions, providing your email address to login to the guest network.

Parking
On campus parking lot options can be found here
Free street parking and paid street parking is available around the campus and surrounding areas as well of a first come first served basis
Getting around the city
Both Uber and Lyft are readily available (although anecdotally Uber seems to run a little cheaper)
Public transit is a great option if you want to explore downtown Philadelphia ($2.50 fare each way)
All buses, trains and trolleys accept credit cards with tap capabilities, as well as exact change or bus passes, which can be purchased at many trolley and train stations. (check out options here)
Restaurants and Drinks near Drexel
If you’re looking for a park vibe that has food and drinks (adult and otherwise) check out Cira Green, a rooftop park with an amazing view of the city (only an 8 minute walk from the hotel)
If you're looking for a more low key park, The Lawn at UCity Square is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors, plus there are food trucks on Thursdays!
White dog is a local pub with great drinks and even better food (5 minute walk from hotel)
Sabrina’s Café is a great breakfast/brunch restaurant near campus (10 minute walk from the hotel)
If you’re looking for more diverse food options check out our local food hall Franklin's Table (7 minute walk from hotel)
Check out Federal Donuts for a quick donut and coffee or chicken sandwich (5 minute walk from hotel)
There are also two Saxby’s Coffee Shops near campus (34th St and Arch, and in PISB at 33rd and Chestnut) that are open as early as 7:30am (3-5 minute walk from hotel)
If Starbucks is more up your alley, there is one near UPenn’s campus at 34th St. and Walnut St. (5 minute walk from hotel)
