DragonsTeach Overview DragonsTeach is designed to address the national need for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) teachers by offering STEM majors the opportunity to experience teaching and obtain secondary teaching certification alongside their degree. Students are eligible to earn grade 7-12 teaching certification in the following subject areas: math, biology, chemistry, physics, or general science and participate in inquiry-based instruction to break down the traditional barriers in teaching/learning. DragonsTeach is a collaborative effort of Drexel University’s College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering, and the School of Education. This program is supported by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a $1.45 million grant from the National Math and Science Initiative to replicate the UTeach program. DragonsTeach Website
