MCRC Pilot Funding Awardee Presents Research on Use of a National Retail Database

Drexel University's Medical Cannabis Research Center welcomed Dr. Stephen T. Dickinson (they/them), a project manager at the Urban Health Collaborative within the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel.

Dr. Dickinson presented research findings from their MCRC Pilot Study award titled, “Use of a National Retail Database to Describe Marijuana Dispensary Location and Equity.”

They hold a PhD in Geography and Urban Studies from Temple University and are currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at Drexel University.

Dr. Dickinson's research focuses on spatial analysis, urban health disparities, the urban built environment, and environmental sustainability. Through their work, they aim to uncover and address inequities within urban environments to promote healthier, more equitable communities.

In their role at the Urban Health Collaborative, Stephen leverages their expertise in geography and public health to manage interdisciplinary research projects that bridge data analysis, policy, and community impact.
