Drexel University's Medical Cannabis Research Center (MCRC) applies a multi-level approach to researching health outcomes associated with Pennsylvania's medical cannabis program. The center is a collaboration between Drexel's Dornsife School of Public Health and College of Medicine.
The Medical Cannabis Research Center disseminates knowledge to the broader scientific and medical communities.
The center funds pilot research studies proposed by Drexel faculty in areas of research where the therapeutic use of medical cannabis has produced promising patient health outcomes.

Bill to Ensure Accurate Testing and Labeling Medical Cannabis Products Advances in the Pennsylvania General Assembly
HB 33, led by Representative Dan Frankel of Alleghany County, recently passed in the house by a vote of 194-8. The bill would give the Bureau of Medical Marijuana added oversight powers "through audit testing, quality assurance testing, data transparency, and inspections."
