MCRC Hosts Panel Discussion on Cannabis and Hemp Testing

The Drexel Medical Cannabis Research Center hosted a discussion on cannabis and hemp testing with Dr. Jeffrey Raber, Karrissa Miller, and Kristen Goedde.

The panelists spoke about issues in cannabis and hemp testing, the differences between a DEA registered lab and a state certified lab, and how regulators can improve.

About the panelists:

Dr. Jeffrey Raber received a B.S. in biochemistry from Lebanon Valley College and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Southern California. Dr. Raber entered the cannabis industry in 2010 and has since published 6 peer-reviewed articles on different cannabis topics, most notably around terpenes, and now runs The Werc Shop, a company that provides cutting edge testing, formulations, and product development services for the cannabis industry.

Karrissa Miller is a Founding Partner and Vice President of US Cannalytics and a Partner and Vice President of Pinnacle CT, LLC. US Cannalytics is a licensed independent cannabis laboratory in PA, NJ, and FL, while Pinnacle CT, LLC. is a licensed independent cannabis laboratory in MD.

Kristen Goedde is the Chief Operating Officer for Trichome Analytical, which is located in Mount Laurel, NJ. Trichome Analytical is ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited, holds federal DEA registration for USDA-compliant hemp testing and draws from more than 100 years of collective laboratory experience in both public- and private-sector capacities.
