Learn about the Cannabis Health Equity Movement with Dasheeda Dawson

On January 23, 2023, the Medical Cannabis Research Center at Drexel University sponsored an event which featured Dasheeda Dawson, MBA.

Dawson is The WeedHead™, a global cannabis advocate, award-winning strategist and bestselling author of "How to Succeed in the Cannabis Industry."

After serving as Portland Cannabis Manager, Dasheeda was tapped for the historic role of Cannabis NYC Founding Director, guiding the world’s largest municipal cannabis market. She cofounded the Cannabis Health Equity Movement (CHEM) and chairs the Cannabis Regulators of Color Coalition (CRCC).

Dawson spoke on the intersection of science, business and justice, the process of bringing testimony to the public and legislators, and how cannabis can be used as a tool to promote health equity.
