How Philadelphia Is Growing Into U.S. Cannabis Research Capital

Drexel University has been named an “Academic Clinical Research Center” by the Pennsylvania Department of Health in accordance with the legislation that legalized medical cannabis in Pennsylvania.

Drexel joins the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Jefferson, Temple, and Penn in securing Academic Clinical Research Center permits from the state's Department of Health, which oversees Pennsylvania’s medical marijuana program. The certification enables these institutions to research programs and study data collected at medical cannabis dispensaries.
