Jackie Abrams, M.Ed
Assistant Project Director, Transition Pathways
Prior to joining Drexel, Ms. Abrams served as the Director and Instructor of Rowan College at Gloucester County’s Adult Center for Transition; a program which affords young adults (ages 18-30) with developmental and other disabilities the academic, vocational, and socialization skills necessary to become independent and contributing members of society. During her seven years at the college, Ms. Abrams helped grow the student enrollment by over 500%, from 9 to 60, and developed and taught a creative curriculum to promote workforce and college readiness. She facilitated a grant funded initiative for supported employment services and hosted numerous events with local community partners and employers.
With her wealth of knowledge pertaining to transition-age youth, adult service providers and her experience with interagency collaboration and supported employment, she looks forward to working with colleagues to grow the capacity of Transition Pathways.
In 2014, Ms. Abrams was the recipient of the Arc of New Jersey’s Education Professional of the Year Award; and she holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Delaware and a Master of Education in School Leadership from Wilmington University.
