University City - Health Science Building
While the facility's main goal is to offer strong educational experiences to Drexel University students, the Human Anatomy Laboratory is also used to serve our community through outreach opportunities.
Approximately 200 high school students visit our anatomy lab each year. Visiting schools are given a tour of our facilities, interact with Drexel College of Medicine students, and meet with our Drexel legacy center.

Programs with the Science Leadership Academy High School and Middle School have participated in our inaugural programs. Visitors are given a tour of our facilities and interact with CNHP students, faculty, and staff.

West Reading - Tower Health
The anatomy faculty at West Reading is committed to providing excellent learning experiences for medical students. They are also committed to promoting community involvement and public educational opportunities for the surrounding communities through their collaboration with local schools and outreach programs.
STEM programs – partnering with the Reading Science Center, the WR faculty and first-year medical students provide interactive health workshops for the Sisters in Stem program – February Heart Health exhibits and field trips to the WR campus for tours of the campus and the anatomy facilities.
Interprofessional Education (IPE)—The Reading Health Sciences Program partnership, in conjunction with the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences, provides students in the Ultrasound Tech and EMS/Paramedic programs with collaborative opportunities with the medical students at the WR and Reading Hospital campuses. A new fourth-year elective was created to offer DUCOM students the chance to obtain advanced Emergency Medical Life Support training and certification before residency.
Anatomy Institute & Dissection Experience (A.I.D.E) -Drexel University College of Medicine (WR campus) offers undergraduate students enrolled in science-related fields throughout the United States to participate in an exclusive summer anatomy program, Anatomy Institute and Dissection Experience, (AIDE). Participants who demonstrate a strong interest in anatomy topics learn the fundamental concepts of gross anatomy and basic dissection techniques in a state-of-the-art cadaveric laboratory. Participants will have the opportunity to Experience the gross anatomy, microanatomy, and neuroanatomy of the various systems and regions of the human body, practice human dissection, as well as common medical techniques like suturing, auscultation and measuring vital signs, and develop clinical reasoning skills using case-based learning and simulation experiences. Celebrate Science Day – Reading - Numerous vendors/exhibitors from area health agencies and career centers were involved in a 5-hour event hosted at the West Reading campus that saw over 800 attendees from the Berks County area. In addition, the West Reading faculty and medical student organizations have participated in many community events (Walk for the Animals, Career fairs, Health fairs, HOP, Esperanza).
