Interim Dean and Professor, School of Education

In an ever-changing world, the need for strong leaders in education is more important than ever. Drexel University’s School of Education, prepares students from all backgrounds for successful careers in a wide range of subjects in education. Whether you want to become a teacher, a researcher, or a policy expert, Drexel offers a program for you.

When it comes to education, quality matters. Drexel’s innovative degree and certificate programs are led by highly respected faculty who are published experts in their field. Through a combination of online, on-campus and hybrid courses, students develop the skills they need to thrive in today’s job market and apply them through hands-on projects and field experiences. For our undergraduate students, Drexel’s innovative co-op program allows them to gain additional classroom experience beyond their student teaching experience and graduate with more hours of work experience than any other institution in the region.

Our school shares in our university’s values of equity and inclusion. We strive to create a diverse and inclusive learning community where students, faculty and staff can feel welcome and share their unique perspectives on pressing issues in education.

We believe that everyone should have access to a quality education regardless of race or class. We aim to address inequalities in education systems that disproportionately affect minority communities through partnerships with schools in our neighborhood in West Philadelphia and through our many sponsored research projects.

We foster a culture of collaboration and public scholarship in all our activities. In the many labs within our School, you will find students of all levels- undergraduate and graduate, working alongside experienced faculty as they conduct research and make recommendations to improve systems and learning.

We invite you to join us in the School of Education. Please browse our site to learn more about our departments, research, faculty, and more. Because Education can’t wait.
