Mad Dragon Record’s latest signing, Johnny Popcorn, has a new album out and they’ll be performing live in the URBN Annex lobby at 7pm on Thursday, November 3rd. The album, Totem Pole, showcases this Philadelphia based, five-member band’s distinctive sound featuring the vocals of Hezekiah and Jani Coral, who fuse together funk, hip-hop, rock and soul. On Friday, November 18th, MAD Dragon artist JUTUAN, a South Jersey based band, will release their new EP, Back to Life. JUTUAN’s music reflects rock, reggae, folk, latin, jazz, funk, soul and gospel influences resulting in a completely original sound in Back to Life. You’ll be able to listen to JUTUAN live on our top ranked radio station, WKDU, on November 4th and on Philadelphia’s Radio 104.5 WRFF on November 11th. 

To promote the release of Totem Pole, Johnny Popcorn appeared on New York City’s HOT97, the premier Hip Hop Urban radio station in the country; you can listen to the interview in its entirety here. The first video off the album, was praised by Rock on Philly, WXPN’s The Key, and Atlanta’s AFROPUNK. Watch them perform their hit song, Secrets, live at Sofar Washington here. Following the band’s performance in URBN, a visual music video event and Q&A with the band will be held in the URBN Annex Screening Room from 8:30-9:30pm.
