Photography Senior Show

May 18, 2016

Through an intensive nine-month thesis process, twelve Photography seniors have completed a diverse body of work that ranges from portraiture to landscape and from commercially-oriented work to fine art, in both color, and black and white. Their thesis will be on view in the Leonard Pearlstein Gallery (3401 Filbert Street) from June 3rd – June 6th, with an opening reception on Friday, June 3rd at 6pm.

Paul Runyon, Photography Program Director, notes that the wide range of work represents a core philosophy of the program, which is the premise that photographers today are doing both fine art and applied or commercial work simultaneously. “The market has changed and we were far ahead of the curve in promoting the merging of those two worlds. It really comes through with this work,” Runyon says.
