Get ready for an impressive presentation of senior projects and graduate research at the 2016 Digital Media Senior Show & Expo on Sunday, June 5th at the International House (3701 Chestnut St.). The showcase features innovative work from students in our Animation & Visual Effects, Game Art & Production, Web Development, Interactive Design and graduate Digital Media programs. The Digital Media Department will present its student work showcase at 12:30pm in the Ibrahim Theater of the International House, with an expo from 2:30-4:30pm in the South American Room.

Experience a split-screen competition in the award winning, multi-player game Mirrors of Grimaldi by 51st and Fire. Explore our beautiful URBN Center with 6K’s URBN Explore, a multi-platform indoor-location navigation app designed specifically for use in the URBN Center. Hunt for treasure and construct your own lair with Construction Worker Method’s Raid My Vault. Lucky Dog Games presents RGB, a game that will have you dodging, slashing, and destroying art-based enemies as you unveil paintings and photos while playing as an eyeball in the visual cortex. Find out what happens when a Mad Scientist is forced to turn to an unlikely person for help when his plans of freezing the world are threated by a Superhero in CG Birds animated short, Meltdown. Fight your friends, complete objectives and look for secrets as you use your smartphone in Fancier Fish’s Remote Raiders. The false Gods of Dreams and Happiness are pitted against the God of Knowledge in Polyscape Game’s The Knowledge We Seek, a cooperative VR and mobile device game.

2016 has been a fantastic year for Digital Media Students. 51st & Fire won DIGM’s international competition to be the single representative at Intel’s University Games Showcase at the Game Developer’s Conference (GDC) 2016 national event. They won 1st Place in Gameplay, beating out teams from top programs across the country. Polyscape Games and Fancier Fish presented their games at Philly Tech Week’s Arcade @ Dilworth, and Fancier Fish presented their game at the East Coast Game Conference (ECGC), the largest gathering of video game professionals on the East Coast.
