Winter Concert Lineup

February 22, 2016 — The Concert Band’s contemporary repertoire and the Orchestra’s international classics are just a part of the Performing Arts full winter 2016 music series. Upcoming concerts also include performances by the Fusion Band & Rock Ensemble, the Mediterranean Ensemble, and the University Chorus, All College Choir and Gospel Choir. Read on for more details on these concerts, which are largely free and open to the public.
Fusion Band and Rock Ensemble
March 8, 7:30pm, Mandell Theater (32nd & Chestnut Streets)
Free to the public
The Drexel Fusion Band performs everything from funk to samba and reggae. They’ll join the Rock Ensemble for an evening of contemporary selections.
Mediterranean Ensemble
March 9, 7:30pm, Mandell Theater
Free to the public
The Mediterranean Ensemble is directed presents music from Southern Europe, the Middle East and Northern Africa.
Gospel Choir
March 12, 7:30pm, Mandell Theater
Free to the public
The Gospel Choir will celebrate its 38th anniversary with both contemporary and traditional praise and worship, featuring special guest choirs from around the city.
University Chorus
March 13, 3:00pm, Main Auditorium (31st & Chestnut Streets)
$3 students w/ ID, $8 general admission
The University Chorus, comprised of singers from every College on campus, will present a major choral masterpiece with full orchestral accompaniment and guest soloists.
All-College Choir
March 13, 7:30pm, Main Auditorium
Free to the public
The All-College choir presents a varied selection of genres including classical, jazz, spirituals, American Musical Theater, folk and pop.
