February 22, 2016 — The booking and promotion arms of MAD Dragon Music Group (MDMG) are spotlighting talented Philadelphia singer-songwriters in a free-to-the-public concert on Thursday, February 25 at 7:00pm (URBN Annex Screening Room, 3401 Filbert Street). Acts include Philly artists Matthew Sharayko, Kashish, Henri Tyler and currentMusic Industry student Alyssa Joseph. The intimate setting will showcase some of Philadelphia’s best reflective and innovative singer/songwriters.
Music Industry student Alyssa Joseph has performed her melodic, lyrically-driven tunes at venues around the city including at Tin Angel and World Café Live. Her YouTube cover-series channel, Kitchen Jams, is currently running as a live series in the Dean’s Kitchen at Westphal’s URBN Center.
Matthew Sharayko’s elegant, folky memoirs are most recently chronicled on Friends of Friends, his January 2016 album. Spirited and soulful, Kashish’s vocally-driven music combines R&B with electronic and pop on her 2015 album, The Hype.Henri Tyler rounds out the show with alt-acoustic folk rock ballads.
Singer/Songwriter Night is presented by Mad Dragon Live, MDMG’s concert and touring arm, and Mad Dragon Media, its integrated marketing and media branch. MDMG is also home to Drexel’s award-winning record label, Mad Dragon Records.
