Digital Media
May 27, 2014
The Digital Media program senior show, featuring the work of students in Animation & Visual Effects, Game Art & Production, and Interactive Digital Media will take place on Saturday, May 31 in the URBN Center Annex (3401 Filbert Street). A 1:00 pm presentation will be followed by a 2:30 pm Expo.
The impressive work of 22 undergraduate students and 12 graduate students will be showcased and demonstrated. This year, graduating Digital Media students’ projects garnered a number of awards at Drexel’s Research Day, including undergraduate student Chelsea Myers with coauthors Eric Martin, Ian Suen, and Ross Reagan for Coffeebot Online, a series that advances newspaper comics from a static medium to online 3D-rendered animations. Graduate students who received awards at Research Day include Jason Kirk, for 3D-printed cardiac imaging that improves patient-doctor communication; Justin Patterson, for a project on player modeling in adaptive educational games; and Daniel Newman, who received first place for “Animating Ancient Ontogeny.”
