NEA: What's Next?
November 02, 2015
Fifty years ago, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities Act, which gave birth to the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. In that time the NEA has distributed over $5 billion through more than 145,000 individual grants. But what’s next? How is the NEA evolving its approaches, programs, and research to meet the changing needs of artists, organizations, and society as a whole? Join us on November 23 for a conversation with NEA leaders, focusing on what’s next for creativity and innovation in the US. Speakers include Bill O’ Brien, the Senior Innovation Advisor to the Chairman of the NEA, and Sunil Iyengar, Director of Research and Analysis.
The free-to-the-public event will take place in Drexel's ExCITE Center (3401 Market Street), with a networking reception at 5:00pm and with presentations and discussion beginning at 6:00pm.
