The Department of Performing Arts will enliven our campus with a variety of performances from May 24th - June 11th. Whether your interests lie in dance, music, or theatre, there will be wonderful performances for virtually everyone’s tastes.
Dance Ensemble Spring Concert – Breaking Grids
June 1, 2, and 3 // 8PM // Mandell Theater // General Admission $10, Student $5, Tickets here.
New works by ten choreographers combine to make an evening of dance and excitement. Selected student works will be performed in addition to premieres by Drexel dance faculty Shannon Murphy and Ellen Forman Award Winner, Nicole Bindler.
University Orchestra
June 9 // 7:30PM// Main Auditorium // Free and open to the public
The orchestra concludes its year with a celebration of spring and rejuvenation. This night will mark the first University Orchestra performance with the historic and recently renovated Drexel University Pipe Organ. Also featured will be two superb Drexel University student soloists.
University Chorus and Chamber Singers present The Great Court Concert

Come hear the University Chorus and Chamber Singers present amazingly resonant choral music in the Great Court inside Drexel's Main Building. Repertoire is specifically selected for this tremendous acoustical space.
Drexel Concert Band
The Drexel Concert Band will present Kaleidoscope, the ensemble's annual Spring concert on Sunday, June 11 at 7:00pm in the Mandell Theater. The evening will feature the world premiere of the "wind ensemble" version of New York composer Raphael Fusco's orchestral work Kaleidoscope. Fusco has gained wide recognition as a composer both nationally and internationally. This past fall, Fusco ‘s Alternate Routes for Chamber Orchestra was premiered by the Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra.
Additionally, Kaleidoscope will also feature faculty trombone soloist Matthew Gould on John Mackey's Harvest, a sort of "moto perpetuo" for trombone and wind orchestra. In addition, William Schuman's Chester, Dmitri Shostakovich's Festive Overture, Gordon Jacob's William Byrd Suite, and John Williams' iconic Star Wars will also be highlighted.
