My thesis is on the East Kolkata Wetlands and the fisheries and fisherfolk community it supports. I am going to look at some of the threats to these fisheries, like climate change and urbanization and how this will affect the food security of the fisherfolk communities. In addition, I will attempt to gain a better understanding of how the community can adapt to and respond to these threats within the urban/peri-urban landscape they live in.
