Interior Architecture Student Wins IDEC Graduate Scholar Award

Marie Mastrobattista, a student in Drexel’s Interior Architecture & Design graduate program was awarded a scholarship by the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) Foundation. The IDEC Foundation invests in interior design education, research, and leadership to advance the design profession and improve the human experience in the designed environment.
Mastrobattista received the award to attend the annual IDEC conference in Charlotte, NC on the strength of her response to the question: “What has drawn you to the interior design education profession?” She is currently completing her dual masters degree in Interior Architecture and Design Research, and plans to teach in the future. The IDECF scholarship provides funding for interior design graduate students who desire to become interior design educators, and includes mentoring by esteemed leaders in interior design education.
