Allison Friedman grew up in Las Vegas and attended The University of Pennsylvania before getting her MFA through the Stark Producing Program at USC. While at USC, she produced an award winning short film and found her passion for story. She started her entertainment career at MGM and Simon Kinberg’s production company, Genre Films, helping develop projects like X-MEN and THE MARTIAN. She then joined Nina Jacobson over at Color Force where she served as an executive on both film and television projects like CRAZY RICH ASIANS and the American Crime Story series for FX. Allison left Color Force in 2017 to produce independently and has built a diverse slate of film and television projects. Her first feature, THE MORTUARY COLLECTION, a dark fantasy/horror film premiered to rave reviews on Shudder and a near perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, and is now being adapted into a TV series. She's a Sundance producing fellow, has set up projects at Legendary, Warner Brothers, Village Roadshow and raised financing for a handful of independent films. Most recently, she produced a sci-fi/action feature, THE FIX, which aims to premiere at festivals in 2024. She also produced “Sunspring” and “It’s No Game", short films written entirely by artificial intelligence starring Thomas Middleditch and David Hasselhoff.
