Critical Conversations in Urban Education proudly hosted a pair of events at Drexel's DC Center. The first looked at issues in school design and educational outcomes, while the second dived into issues around adult education. Videos from each event are posted below.

In collaboration with the international architectural firm Perkins Eastman, the Critical Conversations in Urban Education convened three sessions of experts—two in Washington, DC at Drexel’s DC Center, and one at Drexel’s University City Campus—to explore the issues relating to the impact of school design on educational outcomes. Participation has come from administrators of public school systems, architects, think tanks, government officials such as Pennsylvania Senator Vincent Hughes, leaders of national not-for-profits, and faculty from Drexel University's School of Education. Critical Conversations in Urban Education, in collaboration with Loyola Maryland University’s School of Education, has initiated a series of convenings of practitioners in adult education. The first convening took place at Drexel's Washington DC Center on March 20th, 2018. The mission of the convenings is to determine how adult civic literacy and civic engagement in the U.S. can be enhanced. You can view the recordings of the event below.
