A Read-Aloud Shakespearience of Othello

Wednesday, January 24, 2018

3:30 PM-4:30 PM

Experience the harrowing drama of Iago’s villainy, Othello’s jealousy, and Desdemona’s victimization in a Pennoni Honors College Shakespeare Read-Aloud, open to all interested students who are members or friends of the Pennoni Honors College.

This will be an ongoing, communal reading of Shakespeare’s plays, beginning with the 1603 tragedy, Othello. The play is a great work of drama and poetry that deals with issues of race, class, and gender in nuanced ways. It can illuminate how we think about these issues in our society today.

Note: This event is open to ALL students
