  • ELAM Graduates See Success in New Appointments

    For more than 25 years, the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine® (ELAM) program has been helping women develop the professional and personal skills to lead in academic medicine and health care. ELAM graduates, known as ELUMs, now number over 1,200. In 2021, a remarkable 11 of the program’s alumnae were appointed deans or interim deans of medical schools. Three of these ELUMs shared about their experience with the program and its importance in academic medicine.

  • Women's Leadership Summit Addresses Allyship

    Allyship was the theme of the second annual Women’s Leadership Summit, a discussion of gender equity in medicine, science and leadership, from the Women in Medicine and Science Committee (WIMSC). WIMSC held the Friday, Dec. 3 event in collaboration with the Offices of Faculty, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, as well as the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) program.
