Hannah C. Rechtschaffen is a Project Planner with the Lindy Institute for Urban Innovation. She moved to Philadelphia in 2014 to pursue a Master of Science in Arts Administration from Drexel University, and immersed herself in the vibrant arts sector in the city, sitting on grant panels for The Philadelphia Cultural Fund, Interning for the Arden Theatre Company and The Cultural Fund, managing social media for Drexel Performing Arts, and most recently joining the team at Drexel’s Lindy Institute. She wrote her thesis on the intersection between the Creative Placemaking process and residential real estate marketing, examining how those efforts can better align to curate communities to be inclusive spaces, respectful of history while embracing growth and change.

With a background in theatre arts and business, and a dual-degree in theatre and history from Oberlin College, Hannah has worked across non- and for-profit sectors, facilitating conversations around the role of the Arts in the greater Creative Economy. Prior to attending Drexel, she was Artistic Director for North Carolina’s longest running outdoor Shakespeare Festival, streamlining fundraising efforts and sharpening their long-term strategic plan. She worked extensively in the for-profit sector as a Spa Director for Innovative Spa Management, based in Asheville, NC.
