Black Law Students Association

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) is to articulate and promote the professional needs and goals of black law students and instill a greater awareness of commitment to the black community. We seek to promote, foster, and encourage the academic well-being of black law students while encouraging cooperation and closer ties between members of the law school's black community and other members of the law school. By establishing a vehicle through which our concerns are brought to bear on law school policies, our student members intend to influence the legal community. By bringing about meaningful change to meet the needs of the black community, we will help to develop a more complex network of black professionals in the ever-evolving legal establishment.
