On April 8, 2014, Microsoft will officially end support for the Windows XP operating system, as well as XP Mode. After that date, computers using XP or XP Mode will no longer receive security updates, patches, or online technical assistance, and any XP-specific applications they are running will no longer receive support from their vendors.
