The Office of Global Engagement would like to extend a warm congratulations to our graduating Global Engagement Scholar Seniors. On June 4, 2021, the seniors reflected on their international experiences during their undergraduate careers. The students reflected about the ways in which their global experiences enriched their undergraduate careers and shaped their identities as global citizens. The students’ global experiences ranged from international co-ops, studying abroad, and participating in global events. One student remarked that she learned to appreciate how “there is always room to grow” and develop their cross-cultural competency, while another reflected that they have learned how to work with individuals from different backgrounds and cultures, which is a skillset they will use while pursuing a PhD at Johns Hopkins University.
