Urbanization rates are increasing rapidly worldwide. Cities and their neighborhoods present residents, practitioners and policy makers with challenges and opportunities for health. Our School has a special focus on improving health in cities through science, policy, and community partnerships.
Social inequalities in health remain a major challenge for societies around the globe. Our School is committed to understanding the drivers of health disparities and acting to eliminate them. We champion health as a human right and view social justice as critical to health. Work on eliminating health disparities in the United States and worldwide with faculty whose research and practice focuses on social determinants and inequalities in health.
