The Maternal and Child Health Student Organization (MCHSO) and Dornsife Student Government Organization (SGO) co-hosted a tabling event to promote sexual health and self-care this week in Nesbitt Lobby.

At the table, students played a “spin the wheel” trivia game focused on sexual health and selected from various brochures/resources, Valentine’s Day themed stickers, and various snacks. Goodie bags, prepared by MCHSO, featuring essential items, were distributed to attendees. The bags included lip balm, contraceptives, and face sheet masks. The 50 available bags were eagerly claimed, emphasizing the high level of interest and participation in the event.

Participants eagerly spun the wheel and answered various sexual health-related questions from a questionnaire. This engaging activity not only added an element of fun to the event but also facilitated valuable learning opportunities. Attendees left with not only goodie bags but also increased knowledge about sexual health and wellness.

A notable presence at the event was Dean Gina Lovasi, who took the time to engage with students and show support for the initiative. Her attendance underscored the importance of promoting sexual health awareness within the academic community.

“Overall, the event achieved its goal of fostering a positive and open dialogue about sexual health," said Mridula Ghotane, 1st year MPH student and MCHSO Vice President. "The combination of informative materials, interactive activities, and the support of Dean Lovasi contributed to making this tabling event a memorable and impactful success."
