Co-op for Sociology Majors
Drexel University’s nationally recognized cooperative education program (Co-op) combines periods of full-time professional employment with periods of academic study.
Recent co-op positions held by sociology students include:
- Research Coordinator, West Philadelphia Community Center
- Counselor, Camden Youth Program
- Research Analyst, Philadelphia Stock Exchange
- Case Investigator, Howard County Police Department
- Assistant Copy Editor, Philadelphia Newspapers, Inc.
You can choose co-ops or internships in any government program associated with urban renewal, environmental programs or urban planning. Or you could choose to work with a private, environmental consulting firm, or maybe a nonprofit environmental advocacy organization.
