Co-op for Sociology Majors

Drexel University’s nationally recognized cooperative education program (Co-op) combines periods of full-time professional employment with periods of academic study.

Recent co-op positions held by sociology students include:

  • Research Coordinator, West Philadelphia Community Center
  • Counselor, Camden Youth Program
  • Research Analyst, Philadelphia Stock Exchange
  • Case Investigator, Howard County Police Department
  • Assistant Copy Editor, Philadelphia Newspapers, Inc.

You can choose co-ops or internships in any government program associated with urban renewal, environmental programs or urban planning. Or you could choose to work with a private, environmental consulting firm, or maybe a nonprofit environmental advocacy organization.
