HOUSING EXEMPTION REQUESTS
A Second Year (sophomore) student with a permanent address within a 10-mile radius (click here for PDF of zip codes) of the University City campus who wish to reside with a family member or legal guardian and commute to campus must complete a "Housing Exemption" form. This form is available in DrexelOne by clicking on the Housing link.
Second Year (sophomore) students who fail or refuse to comply with the 2-Year Residency Program and/or furnish false information to a university official or office will be assessed a housing charge equivalent to two academic quarters, posted to their student account at the beginning of week seven of the spring quarter during the student's second year. Non-compliant students will be charged the double-occupancy, suite-style rate within the applicable assessment year.
The University recognizes that there may be times when serious adverse circumstances, beyond a student's direct control, may occur. If you are experiencing an extenuating circumstance preventing you from complying with the 2-Year Residency Program, please submit the 2-Year Residency Program Exemption Request noting 'Other' as your reason and provide additional information regarding your extenuating circumstance in the text box provided.
